Composite test insulator is composed of iron cap, porcelain bottle sleeve pipe fittings (suspension type or silicone rubber) and steel foot (conductive rod), and is cemented into a body with cement cement. This product adopts international and advanced cylindrical head structure, which is characterized by small head size. Light weight, high strength and large creepage distance. It can save metal materials and reduce line cost. In order to meet the needs of live working, the traditional domestic structure shape is adopted on the brim.


[Development History]


Composite insulator products are used for insulating and suspending conductors in high-voltage and ultra-high voltage AC and DC transmission lines. In the early years, insulators were mostly used for power poles (low voltage), and gradually developed into a lot of disc or column insulators hanging on one end of the connecting tower of high voltage power lines, which were usually made of glass, ceramics or silicone rubber to increase the creepage distance. They are called insulators.


Zero value self breaking, easy to detect


The composite suspension flange has the characteristic of zero value self breaking. As long as it is observed on the ground or on the helicopter, it can be detected piece by piece without climbing pole, reducing the labor intensity of workers.


The annual self breaking rate of products introduced from the production line is 0.02-0.04%, which can save the maintenance cost of the line. Good arc resistance and vibration resistance


During operation, the new surface of the glass insulator suffering from lightning burns is still a smooth glass body, and has a tempered internal stress protective layer. Therefore, it still maintains sufficient insulation and mechanical strength.


The galloping disaster caused by conductor icing occurred many times on 500 kv lines, and the mechanical and electrical performance of composite suspension insulators subjected to conductor galloping did not decline after testing.


Good self-cleaning performance and not easy to age


According to the Ministry of Electric Power, it is generally reported that the glass insulators are not easy to accumulate dirt and are easy to clean, and the glass insulators running on the southern line are washed clean after rain.


The mechanical and electrical properties of glass insulators on lines in typical areas are regularly sampled and tested after operation. The accumulated 1000 data show that the mechanical and electrical properties of glass insulators after 35 years of operation are basically the same as those when leaving the factory, and there is no aging phenomenon.


The main capacity is large, the string voltage is evenly distributed, and the dielectric constant of the glass is 7-8, so that the composite insulator has a large main capacitance and the string voltage is evenly distributed, which is conducive to reducing the voltage on the insulator near the conductor side and the grounding side, so as to reduce radio interference, reduce corona loss, and extend the life of the glass insulator. The operation practice has proved this.


Introduction to composite insulator:


Composite insulator products are composed of glass fiber epoxy resin draw rod, silicone rubber umbrella skirt and barium. The silicon rubber umbrella skirt adopts the integral pressure injection process, which solves the key problem of interface electrical breakdown affecting the reliability of composite insulators. The connection between the glass draw bar and the metal fittings adopts advanced crimping technology, and is equipped with a full-automatic acoustic flaw detection system. It has high strength, beautiful appearance, small size, and light weight. The metal fittings can be galvanized to prevent corrosion, and can be interchanged with porcelain insulators. This product has a reliable structure, does not damage the core rod, and can give full play to its mechanical strength.


The electrical performance is superior, and the mechanical strength is high. The tensile and bending strength of the epoxy glass draw rod loaded inside is 2 times higher than that of ordinary steel, and is 8~10 times higher than that of high-strength porcelain material, effectively improving the reliability of safe operation.


The wet withstand voltage and pollution withstand voltage are 2~2.5 times of the same creepage distance porcelain insulator. And the ring needs to be cleaned and can operate safely in the heavily polluted area.


Small volume and light weight (only 1/6~1/9 of porcelain insulators of the same voltage level). The structure is light and convenient for transportation and installation.


The silicone rubber umbrella skirt has good hydrophobicity, and its overall structure ensures that the internal insulation is not affected by moisture. Preventive insulation monitoring test and cleaning are not required, which reduces the daily maintenance workload.


It has good sealing performance and strong resistance to electric corrosion. The material of the umbrella skirt has resistance to electric leakage and tracking up to the level of TMA4.5. It has good aging resistance, corrosion resistance and low temperature resistance, and can be used in areas from - 40 ° C to - 50 ° C.


It has strong impact resistance and shockproof performance, good brittleness resistance and creep resistance, is not easy to break, has high bending resistance and torsional strength, can withstand internal pressure, has strong explosion-proof force, and can be interchanged with porcelain and glass insulators.


The mechanical and electrical properties of composite insulator series are superior to those of porcelain insulators, with large operating safety margin. It is a new product for power lines.
